For the last few months, Matimo™ Workbench has been available to a limited cohort of enterprise teams at demo.matimo.ai. Today it's generally available at matimo.ai. No waitlist, no invite required.
Nothing about what Workbench is changes today. We wrote about why we built it a few weeks ago: most AI agent platforms make you choose between easy to build and safe to trust. Workbench was built to not force that trade-off: governance, audit, and multi-tenant isolation as structural parts of the platform, not something bolted on after the fact.
What changes today is who can get in.
What's live at GA
The full platform, unchanged from Early Access:
- 16 reasoning engines: ReAct on every plan including free, all 16 (Chain-of-Thought, Tree-of-Thoughts, Reflexion, Plan-and-Execute, Multi-Agent coordination, and more) on Pro and Enterprise.
- Matimo Studio included in every plan: the same visual, drag-and-drop workflow canvas and the REST API drive one execution engine, so nothing drifts between how ops teams build and how engineers extend. We wrote up why that engine is built as a real graph, not a flowchart with extra wiring, if you want the deeper technical case.
- 139+ tools across 10 provider packages via Matimo OSS: Slack, GitHub, Gmail, Notion, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Postgres, Twilio, Microsoft, Bruno, plus a governed 449-tool Composio catalog and any MCP server. Every tool call is policy-checked and logged before it runs.
- 5 LLM providers, zero lock-in: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Ollama (self-hosted), AWS Bedrock, with automatic fallback and BYOK.
- HITL safety gates, RLS-enforced multi-tenancy, and a 4-table audit log as defaults, not add-ons.
- Matimo Governance available on top for teams that need SSO/SCIM, Shadow Mode policy simulation, Emergency Stop, and one-click SOC2/HIPAA/GDPR compliance evidence exports.
Pricing is unchanged too: Freemium (free, ReAct, 100 credits/month), Pro ($49/month/user, all 16 engines, 1,500 credits/month, up to 5 members), and Enterprise (contact us). Self-serve upgrade is now built directly into the product.
Why we ran an Early Access period at all
Because "governance-first" is a claim that has to survive contact with real usage, not just a launch page. Early Access gave us a limited cohort to find the sharp edges before opening the doors. It did its job. We're carrying what we learned straight into GA rather than treating this as a fresh start.
We're not going to pretend the platform is finished, no serious agent platform is, in a market this early. What we can say plainly: the parts of Workbench that matter most for a team putting agents into production (tenant isolation, audit trail, HITL approval, policy enforcement) were built in from day one, and that's exactly the thing we don't get to fake our way through with a limited cohort watching closely.
